Waipouli Beach Resort F202

I now realize this side of Kaua‘i is often overlooked — and it has become my favorite side of the island. East Kaua‘i’s Coconut Coast, with the beautiful Kaua‘i Path, is incredibly walkable and bike-friendly, surrounded by some of the longest stretches of white sand beaches in Hawai‘i. There are great restaurants, shops, culture, and everyday conveniences everywhere nearby.

The sunrise and moonrise were absolutely incredible, and being centrally located made exploring both the North Shore and South Shore so much easier with less time spent in the car. Honestly, if a traveler didn’t have a rental car, this is probably the only area on Kaua‘i I would confidently recommend staying because there is so much within walking distance.

THE RESORT

WOW — Waipouli Beach Resort is truly a hidden gem. The privately owned suites are beautifully appointed with luxury finishes, soaking tubs, central air conditioning, elevators, excellent sound insulation, and direct beachfront access. One of the cutest beachfront restaurants and bars on the island, Oasis on the Beach, is right there on property. The moonrise from the beach was stunning, and the food was top shelf!

One full moon night my love wanted ice cream, and with Safeway open 24 hours nearby, I was able to grocery shop at 1 a.m. — talk about convenience!

THE ROOM — F202

Friends told me to book an interior-facing unit, usually the even-numbered suites, and they were absolutely right. F202 overlooks the beautiful pool and interior courtyard. The lanai is protected from rain and wind, making outdoor dining incredibly comfortable. Its location seems to tame the stronger trade winds while still allowing a perfect tropical breeze.

At night, the illuminated pool creates such a magical atmosphere, and with close parking plus the beach just steps away, the location could not have been better.

The owners and Piko management clearly take exceptional care of this suite. Everything was spotless, thoughtfully stocked, and perfectly maintained. The attention to detail was beyond impressive.

Kaua‘i is one of the most incredible places on Earth… but having F202 at Waipouli Beach Resort as our base camp made this trip truly extraordinary, restful, and one our family will never 

It was a great unit with comfortable beds!!! Comfy beds are a must for every vacation! It's already hard for us to sleep away from home, but my family slept very comfortably on the beds. The pool was so much fun. Great location & very close to one of the beaches that have public lounging chairs and sand to put your feet in. Great unit and we highly recommend them!

Great location and the condo had everything we needed! The resort is amazing. Definitely recommend.

Unit was just as described, great location and great amenities. Waipouli Beach Resort is a fantastic property and this unit had a great view of the pool area and was close access to stairwell and parking lot for ease of accessibility. Well stocked with what you would need to get started with your trip and better appointed than other units by comparison of traveling companions who stayed at same property. Close to Safeway and several businesses in walking distance. Would stay again, book with confidence!

Loved our stay. Everything was fantastic. Location was beautiful and kitchen was well equipped.

The condo was better than pictured and described! Pullout couch was great for our multigenerational family of 5. The lanai looked over the pool and slides. The kids LOVED the pool. The kitchen had a nice amount of dishes. Loved walking out in the morning for sunrise and running along the path.

This condo was amazing. The location and amenities were even better than described. The condo was spacious, had plenty of sleeping areas for our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teens/kids), and had everything we needed to start our vacation.

We have stayed in many areas and in many vacation rentals on Kauai. This one, by far, was one of the best. The accommodations and the condo complex amenities are hard to beat. Even the beach in front of the condo was amazing to wake up to with our coffee. Note: it's not really a swimming beach, but it's great for walking and beach combing.

The condo provided starter (and more) toiletries and kitchen items. Beds were very comfortable for everyone. And, the lanais were a great place to decompress and enjoy mornings and evenings. The view is mostly of the pool (but never loud), and the bedroom has a peekaboo ocean view. The kitchen was fit for any chef. And, the location was perfect (right across from Safeway, Ross, Wailua Shave Ice, etc.).

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was very clean and perfect size for our family of 4. The pool area was amazing and very well kept.
